The class consists of warm up, technique, floor combinations and routines. It helps students discover their own sense of internal rhythm, coordination and personal style.

Hip Hop

Hip hop is an exciting form of dance that integrates jazz and street dancing techniques. It includes the hottest dance steps from today’s music videos.  Hip hop improves a dancer’s sense of rhythm and coordination with its transitions from smooth to hard-hitting movements.  We are also adding Lyrical Hip Hop to our schedule.  This focuses on slower and more fluid movements that are very appealing to the audience.

Pom is a high energy dance style that incorporates Jazz and Hip Hop Styles using pom-poms.  This class will help increase your flexibility and build strength.  Students will learn basic tumbling skills such as cartwheels, round offs, walk-overs, etc.  Pom class also teaches stunt skills and partner work.  This class is a great start to prepare anyone interested in joining a cheerleading or dance team.

Modern is a dance form developed in the early 20th century that focuses on self expression.  Modern dance is a more relaxed style of dance, in which choreographers use emotions and moods to design their own steps.  It has a deliberate use of gravity and spacing.
