Sheryl Einhardt trained in the Detroit Metropolitan area and has been teaching for over 30 years. Since 1990, she has owned and directed Dance Expressions Dance Studio. She is also the Executive Director of Allure Dance Company. Mrs. Einhardt is currently serving as Vice President of MoreDances Contemporary Dance Company. She has trained many students that have gone on to professional careers. Her students have been accepted and received scholarships to the Joffrey Ballet, ABT, Joel Hall, The Collective and Peter Sklar's Beginnings Workshop. She has also had many students receive scholarships to colleges such as Wayne State and Western University for dance.  Sheryl has hosted master classes with Kirby Reed, Leah Howard from Tap Dogs, Leonard Sullivan from Hair Spray/High School Musical, Bill Janisse and many others.  In 2008, she Choreographed a production of "Chicago" in Mt. Clemens, Michigan.  She is a wonderful and caring owner.  She truly loves each and every one of her students.


 
 
Shannon Einhardt is Co-Director of Dance Expressions and the Artistic Director of Allure Dance Company.  Ms. Einhardt graduated from Western Michigan University with a BA in dance in 2007.  She has been teaching for over 15 years and currently coaches our Award Winning Competition Team.  Shannon became co-founder of Allure Dance Company in 2010 and is also a dancer in the company.  Ms. Einhardt won the Maggie Allesee New Choreography Award in 2011 for her piece "Psychopathology".  Shannon also taught at TCH Dance Academy in Birmingham for 8 years, before resigning in 2017. Ms. Einhardt also worked worked with the SCS figure skaters for five years.  Shannon recently choreographed for a production of "The Drowsy Chaperone."  In 2008, she choreographed and performed in a production of "Chicago".  She was also a guest performer for MoreDances Contemporary Dance Company. Throughout the years she has taken many master classes which keep her up to date on all the new material.  Shannon has a high energy teaching style and a true passion for dance and the arts.
 
 
 
 
Susan Clayton has been on staff for over 20 years. She has danced with DDCdances since 1990. Past professional company work includes MoreDances Contemporary Dance Company, Harbinger Dance Company, Ballet Michigan, MI, Opus Dance Ensemble (NV), Dance & Company (Il).  Sue also spent eight years traveling while dancing in professional review shows, cruise ships and musicals in the United States, Asia, Europe and at sea.  Most noted dance position being in "Beyond Belief" at the Frontier Hotel and closing act in "Jubilee" at the MGM in Las Vegas, NV.  Sue was a full dance merit scholarship student at Giordano Dance Center for one year, studied Vaganova ballet teacher training through Nutmeg Ballet and at Lake Michigan College.  Sue is an active dance and yoga teacher in the community and is also a teaching artist at Novi High School. This season Sue is developing Holistic Ballet Yoga a class that combines yoga/ballet therapy and traditional ballet class for trained dancers.

Certifications include YogaMedics, Sun Moon Yoga RYT 200, Common Sports Injury Specialist and Biomechanics of Human Movement though NESTA, EasyFlexibility Method, Sue is currently studying Progressing Ballet Technique certification course.





Brandon Koepsell has been on our Dance Expressions staff for five years  He will be teaching Contemporary Ballet to our Company Members.  Brandon is a native of Detroit, MI where he began his training at the age of 7 at the Turning Pointe School for the Performing Arts under the direction of Kelly Powers. At an early age, he had the opportunity to train at several summer programs with the American Ballet Theater and the Royal Winnipeg Ballet. Brandon attended high school at the Walnut Hill School, a fine arts conservatory located outside of Boston, MA. After graduation, Brandon spent time performing with Companie Coline in Istre, France where he was able to perform in several historic theaters throughout the south of France. Brandon also spent some time training in Los Angeles where he was able to assist choreographer Denise Leitner. While working with Denise he had opportunity to dance with actress Kate Hudson in preparation for her role in “Nine”. Brandon is a credited dancer in “A Very Harold and Kumar Christmas". He recently worked as the assistant choreographer on the set of “Oz, the Great and Powerful” where he was able to work with director Sam Raimi and actors James Franco and Mila Kunis. Brandon is also currently on faculty at Wayne State University.  Brandon’s true passion is teaching, he has been training and choreographing for students of all ages for over 10 years in the areas of ballet, contemporary jazz and partnering.

 
 
Jocelyn Phillips is in her fifth year of teaching at Dance Expressions. She teaches our mini to intermediate levels in Pom, Hip Hop, Jazz and Tap.  She is also one of our Competition Company Coaches.  Jocelyn is one of our Senior Dancers and continues to further her dance education by attending Master dance classes and workshops. She has trained at our studio for over 10 years in Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Hip Hop, Lyrical/Contemporary and Pom.  She has a high energy that will fully motivate her students! Ms. Phillips joined Allure Dance Company in 2011 as an apprentice and is now a full company member. In 2015, Jocelyn was brought on staff at The Civic Ice Arena teaching dance to the St. Clair Shores Figure Skating Club. She truly enjoys sharing her passion for dance with all of her students.

 
 
 
 
Dianne Clouse joined our faculty at Dance Expressions in 2014.  She currently coaches our Junior Company Dancers and teaches Jazz, Tumbling and Turns & leaps.  She has been dancing and has competed for over 20 years of her life. Ms. Clouse has trained in over 9 different styles of dance and teaches both recreational and competitive dance. Dianne has done choreography for Romeo High Schools Dance teams for 3 seasons where her choreography has been recognized at multiple competitions and has helped earned their way to nationals for the first time. She also worked with MSU Elite and choreographed their nationals routine for 2017. Over the many years of competing, Dianne has earned many scholarships, special awards, overalls and titles both regionally and nationally including highest scoring routine of a regional competition and Miss Dance America at the 2010 Kids Artistic Revue Nationals. She has also competed at the USASF Dance Worlds 6 times and holds 3 bronze medals, 3 silver and 1 Gold World Champion title. She was a 5 year member of the Allure Dance company. Dianne was also featured on two episodes of seasons 10's "So You Think You Can Dance". Taking a new direction in dance, Dianne is currently a 2nd year member of the Detroit Lions Cheerleaders. She has the honor of helping with the teams choreography this season. She is also one of the leading rolls of teaching and training the teams dances technique. Dianne will also be working with the Cathy Roe Dance competition this up coming season as a judge and other positions. She can't wait to share her experiences and training with you.
 

Candace Hamilton has been dancing in the Metro Detroit area for over twenty-five years.  She is well trained in jazz, tap, ballet, lyrical and hip-hop.  She has been a part of our Dance Expressions family for over twenty years.  Miss Candace has had the pleasure of teaching at our studio since 1999.  She currently teaches our Advanced and Intermediate Hip Hop and Lyrical Hip Hop Classes.  Candace has a unique style and nurturing personality that the students love.   Her creative hip hop dances are always a favorite in our shows.  She has taught many Master Hip Hop classes for our studio summer workshops.  Ms. Hawkins credits include teaching dance to the blind. She made her Chicago debut, dancing in the MidTangent production of "A Midsummer Night's Dream".  Candace has an associate’s degree from Macomb Community College (MCC) and a Bachelor's Degree in social work.

Wayne Myles aka Breeze is in his fourth year of teaching at Dance Expressions.  He is our ALL BOYS Hip Hop/Break Dancing Teacher.  Breeze has a unique style to his choreography that mixes hard hitting moves with a smooth flow.
