What type of dance
floor is used?
Dance is a very
physical activity that requires a lot of jumping, leaping and springing, which
can put stress on the bones and joints. Most dance footwear does not provide
any cushioning or support, so the shock of dance movement can place stress on
the knees and back of a dancer. The best way to prevent against potential
injury is by choosing a studio with a professional sprung or floating floor.
These are floors that have high-density foam to absorb the shock of jumping.
The top layer of the dance floor is also an important factor. A vinyl composite
Marley floor is accepted worldwide as the best surface layer for recreational
to professional dance. Most professional dance companies use Marley flooring as
their dance surface. Our special floors help reduce the risk of injuries and
allow students to dance longer without becoming fatigued.
Who
is instructing your child’s class?
It is important
that your child is getting instruction from a qualified teacher in order to
develop the proper fundamentals of body placement and awareness. Many of our
instructors come from very strong backgrounds with college degrees and
professional experience. Most of our classes also have an assistant or two that
assist the instructors or give extra help to students that need assistance.
Can
I get immediate assistance and customer care?
It is important to
let the instructors do their job. We have office staff on hand during all
regular class times so you can get immediate assistance. If they cannot answer
a particular question they will address it with the owner or instructor at the
end of the day and get back to you. If you wish to conference with the
instructor an appointment can be made so they are not interrupted or distracted
during their class.
